| It had been a busy week for some of the Brethren as they gathered at Liverpool Masonic Hall, Chris Walls PProvGMO had Installed his Successor as WM of University Mark Lodge 1062 on Monday 21.02.22 & was to perform the ceremony of Advancement for his candidate. |
| The Lodge was honoured to receive their guests W.Bro Dave Roberts WM, together with W.Bro John Lyon-Taylor PProvGJW of University of Liverpool 1062, VW Bro. Eric Hughes & W.Bro’s Geoff Roberts WM of Coronation Mark Lodge 563 & Brian O'Hare. |
| All had come together with the Brethren of Corinthian Mark Lodge 1052 to perform the Advancement ceremony of Bro Alan Parkinson of Aigburth Lodge 4103. |
| The Lodge was opened in due form by the WM, Bro Christopher Bruffell, & after the usual domestic business had been completed he invited WBro Chris Walls to take 'the chair'. |
| The candidate was escorted by WBro s Geoff Roberts & John Lyon-Taylor. It really became something of a Past Masters night as they 'strutted their stuff' around the Lodge room. |
| W Bro. Chris Walls, together with the Deacons performed yet another excellent ceremony which reflected great credit on themselves & once again proved - if ever proof were needed - that the Mark Degree truly is the 'friendly Degree' |
| After the ceremony & closing of the Lodge the Brethren retired to the festive board where WBro Steve Walls, the PGMs Spec Rep who had acted as Tyler & as DC for the festive board presented our newly Advanced Brother with a personal letter of congratulations & welcome from the PGM. |
| The Brethren having enjoyed the harmony of the meeting & festive board parted in good spirits & looking forward to the next time they would share in each other’s company. |
